Next Gen Leaders

Next Gen Leaders, formerly Friends for Life, is a combination of group mentoring and leadership development through community service, networking, and preparation for life after high school. Next Gen Leaders was developed from a need identified for increased opportunities for middle and high school students to build their resume, develop leadership skills, and form connections that will carry on well into the future.

Through community service, Leaders will develop a servant's heart, develop leadership skills, and build their resume for the future. Through networking opportunities, Leaders will develop a social web of other Leaders and adults within the community who act as resources for careers and education well into the future. Through educational opportunities, Leaders will have access to resources and education that transcends the traditional classroom to offer topics on real-world experiences, such as interviewing, career exploration, financial stability, and much more.

While Next Gen Leaders does not house one-on-one mentoring opportunities, adults are pivotal for the success of the program as they act as guides for Leaders as they enter the workforce or pursue further education.​
