Position Overview
COACH Kids of Clinton County is seeking a part-time Program Coordinator to support and strengthen our youth mentoring programs. This role helps coordinate mentor and mentee relationships, supports families and volunteers, assists with program events and trainings, and ensures that day-to-day program details are handled with care, consistency, and excellence. The ideal candidate is organized, relational, dependable, and passionate about helping youth build positive relationships and a strong foundation for the future.
About COACH Kids
COACH Kids works to give hope to children and families in Clinton County through positive mentoring relationships. Through its programs, COACH Kids empowers youth to make good choices, develop essential skills, and grow toward their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate daily program operations and support the implementation of COACH Kids mentoring programs.
· Assist with mentor recruitment, onboarding, training, matching, and ongoing support.
· Maintain regular communication with mentors, mentees, families, schools, churches, volunteers, and community partners.
· Track match progress, participation, engagement, and program outcomes using accurate and timely documentation.
· Help plan and support trainings, mentor events, family engagement opportunities, and community outreach activities.
· Identify mentee and mentor needs, provide encouragement and practical support, and elevate concerns when appropriate.
· Support program policies, safety practices, confidentiality expectations, and child protection procedures.
· Assist with reports, newsletters, success stories, grant-related information, measurables and program evaluation as needed.
· Collaborate with staff and leadership to strengthen program quality, volunteer experience, and youth impact.
Qualifications
· Experience in youth development, mentoring, education, ministry, social services, nonprofit work, or a related field preferred.
· Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with youth, families, volunteers, and community partners.
· Excellent organization, follow-through, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to manage multiple details, maintain records, and meet deadlines.
· Comfortable working with schools, families, churches, and community organizations.
· Alignment with the mission and values of COACH Kids.
· Basic computer skills, including email, word processing, spreadsheets, google docs and database or recordkeeping tools.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
· Successful completion of required background checks.
· Bi-lingual is a major plus.
Schedule and Work Environment
This is a part-time position with a flexible schedule based on program needs. Some evening or occasional weekend availability may be required for trainings, events, meetings, or community activities. Work may include office-based tasks, school or community visits, and event support.
