COACH Kids Gears Up For Hot Dog Festival Events This Saturday

COACH Kids of Clinton County is gearing up for the Hot Dog Festival festivities this weekend where the team will host a breakfast and cornhole tournament to engage the community and help fundraise for its programming ahead of the school year.


The COACH Kids Hot Dog Festival breakfast will heat up at 8 a.m. this Saturday, July 26 at Prairie Creek Park in Frankfort inside the Encompass Event Center. The breakfast will consist of biscuits and gravy, pancakes, sausage, fruit and drink and will be $8 for adults and free for children under the age of 5. Dine-in and carry-out options will be available. The breakfast will continue through 11 a.m. or until supplies last. Breakfast visitors will also be able to shop from specialty drinks by Cocoa Beans Coffee in Frankfort. The COACH Kids Breakfast was sponsored by Steve Burkhalter.

The 2025 COACH Kids Hot Dog Festival Cornhole Tournament will kick off with registration at 8:30 a.m. with the tournament beginning at 9:30 a.m. at Prairie Creek Park. Pre-entry is not required, and teams are allowed to register during in the morning prior to the tournament start. The entry fee is due at the time of registration. Entry fees will be $40 per team with opportunities to win $100 per player for the first-place finishing team and $50 per player for the second-place finishing team. The Cornhole Tournament was made possible by the sponsorship of Custom Painting by Leo.


The tournament will follow the rules observed by the American Cornhole Association, as pictured below, and will operate on a double-elimination bracket basis. This tournament is not to be utilized as a means to gain professional achievements, and a waiver must be signed at the time of registration to acknowledge understanding of the Cornhole rules and liabilities. Participants are not allowed to bring their own bags, and boards and bags will be provided.


The tournament is designed to be appealing to both experienced and first-time cornhole players.
